213 numbers by neighborhood
Downtown Los Angeles and the neighborhoods around it each have their own mix of businesses, and the numbers that suit them differ too. No 213 number belongs to a particular neighborhood. Since the 2017 overlay, 213 numbers go to lines across the whole 213 and 323 area, not just downtown, and a 213 number on a mobile phone works anywhere.
These are the neighborhoods that kept 213 when the area around them moved to 323 in 1998. Hollywood, Silver Lake, Boyle Heights and the other areas that went to 323 are not listed, but a business there can use a 213 number just the same: it rings wherever your carrier sends it.
